Integration Engine

Enables connectivity at the data, service and application levels.

To ensure your business is agile and efficient, your systems must be able to share data and transactions. Sharing extends beyond the enterprise to ensure that suppliers and customers can integrate and leverage the process-based assets of your organization.

Given the number of applications and data requirements necessary for many line-of-business processes, integration can be a daunting, time-consuming, and expensive task. G360 makes this connectivity straightforward and easy by providing Connector Manager, an open, standards-based framework for integration. This framework enables process designers to easily integrate applications into an automated business process.

With connectivity at different levels and enabled through a structured architecture, G360 provides a set of pre-built, configurable worksteps specific to application integration. Corporate developers can also extend the available worksteps by creating their own integration tasks that can be included within the Process Designer palette.

Connectivity worksteps are provided at the following levels:

  • Data level: These worksteps talk directly to data sources, such as an SQL database. The wizard enables the Process Designer to "inspect" a database and then construct a query or insert based on defined tables and fields.
  • Service level: These worksteps utilize higher-level connectivity infrastructure loosely coupled with the target application. These worksteps include Web services and messaging such as JMS, IBM MQ and MS MQ, IMAP/SMTP, etc.
  • Application level: These worksteps interact directly with target applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, and Oracle.

G360's open and extensible workstep architecture enables customers and business partners to create application, technology, and vendor-specific integration worksteps. Below is a sample list of available Connector Manager worksteps:

  • Message Queuing
  • Web Services
  • SQL Query
  • FAX In/Out
  • E-mail Open/Send Reply
  • Import from Kofax Ascent Capture, Captiva InputAccel, DataCap and others.
