Content Manager

Enables optimized storage and retrieval for specific media types: e-mail, image, and documents.

G360 Enterprise Content Manager handles documents and data managed and manipulated within G360 managed processes. Typical content includes:

  • Images scanned via G360 Scan Manager (or any popular scanning or document capture software)
  • Electronic documents such as Microsoft®Word, Microsoft®ExcelT, or Adobe® PDF files
  • Reports archive for data imported from external systems, such as a mainframe application for example
  • E-mail, including the ability to manage based on subject, addressing, message text and attachments.

Content Manager offers magnetic, database, optical, and content storage alternatives for information managed in the G360 system.

But the most important part of a content management system is the content itself. After your data is stored, you need to be able to find and manage it. G360 content classification is easily configurable-document meta-data can be defined by document type or use, ensuring that your data can be retrieved in ways reflective of your business use.

Content Manager also provides archival capabilities for documents that have completed processing. Multiple database platforms are supported, allowing for highly flexible and scalable storage configurations. When documents are archived, the documents' meta-data is stored using one of these five storage methods:

  • Magnetic volumes
  • Optical volumes
  • Database binary large objects (BLOBs)
  • Shared directories
  • EMC Centera Content Addressable Storage.
