Mark Miller Joins Global 360 as Chief Community Officer and SharePoint Evangelist
Founder and Editor of EndUserSharePoint.com to Educate on Business Process Management as the Missing Link in SharePoint Implementations
DALLAS - AUGUST 5, 2010 - Global 360, a leading provider of Process and Document Management solutions, today announced that Mark Miller has joined the company as Chief Community Officer and SharePoint Evangelist. In this role, Miller will be responsible for introducing and educating the rapidly growing Microsoft SharePointTM community on the role Business Process Management (BPM) can play in strategic SharePoint implementations.
"BPM is the next logical step in the maturing process of the SharePoint community, as we move beyond using SharePoint as a stand-alone platform to providing solutions to real business problems," noted Miller. "I want to help people make the connection between what they're doing in their business and how SharePoint can be used to achieve their goals."
Miller acts as a dedicated evangelist for the information workers, site managers and site collection administrators of SharePoint. He is a frequent speaker at SharePoint Saturday events, national conferences and online webcasts. During SharePoint Conference 2009, Miller coordinated 30 live bloggers, sending out real-time feed streams of audio, video and Twitter from the exhibit floor and the conference sessions to over 3,000 online followers who could not attend the conference.
Miller is also founder and editor of EndUserSharePoint.com, a community of SharePoint authors dedicated to providing support and encouragement for the SharePoint end user. The site receives 50,000 unique page views a week, has a weekly newsletter subscription base of 13,500 readers and handles hundreds of questions weekly through the Stump the Panel: SharePoint Q&A Forum. EndUserSharePoint.com is not part of Global 360 and remains an independent community.
"Global 360 is dedicated to enriching the SharePoint community by adding value to current implementations of SharePoint as well as providing resources that helps make it easier for people to get their jobs done," said Global 360 president and CEO David Mitchell. "Mark will lead our effort to understand how we can best add value to this already robust and active community as well as be a conduit for feedback on how we can continue to improve the value we deliver to our customers. We are very much looking forward to more actively participating in the ongoing dialogues about how to further leverage SharePoint as a robust process management platform."
Global 360's business process management software simplifies how businesses operate. By removing the complexity of paper, manual tasks and interfaces with multiple systems, they deliver an easier way to get work done. Leveraging Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010TM and Microsoft Visio 2010TM as core elements of the solution allows information workers to leverage the common, familiar Microsoft experience already in wide use. Those interfaces enable workers to get work done, improve team collaboration, and aggregate metrics and performance data across multiple departments.
Miller will be speaking at the following upcoming events:
